For easy access to the sites of all Eastern Catholic and Orthodox jurisdictions in America, see the links page of www.byzcath.org.

For some unusual links to Eastern Catholic sites throughout the world, see www.rumkatkilisi.org (the web site of the Society of St John Chrysostom of Ayatriada rum katoliki Kilisi, Istanbul), in serious need of updating, but still worth exploring.

Eastern Christian Catechetical Links:

The Religious Education Department of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese has an extensive site including their online catalog, a real time adult formation course, the Internet School of Orthodox Studies, and the Cana Catechetical Resource Center. The “Teenage Curriculum” page contains lessons from their Cana Curriculum currently in development. Go to www.goarch.org and look for “Religious Education” under “Ministry Outreach.”
The Greek Archdiocese’s Department of Youth and Young Adult Ministries has a catechetical program of its own designed for youth group meetings. To order, open the “Youth and Young Adult Ministries: page on the same site.

The focus education project of the Orthodox Church in America’s Office of Religious Education includes useful resources and ideas for lessons and projects on common catechetical themes such as “Journey to Pascha,” “Season of Christmas,” “Hearing God’s Call” (Theophany) and “The Earth Is the Lord’s” (environmental issues). See the OCA website, www.oca.org/focuseducation.

The Orthodox Christian Education Commission is the cooperative catechetical publishing agency of the canonical Orthodox jurisdictions in America. To order from their catalog online, see www.orthodoxed.org.

The “Church School” and “Lessons” pages at www.orthodoxonline.com contains an easily accessible and impressive amount of lesson resources, lesson plans, games and projects easily integrated into any curriculum series.

Another source of projects, worksheets and strategies is the "Out of the Box" page of the Antiochian Orthodox Archdiocese Christian Education Department (www.antiochian.org).  Their teen journal, "Cross and Quill," has downloadable articles useful for high school classes and youth groups.

The parents’ magazine, Orthodox Family Life, always contains material that catechists (and priests!) wish they had thought of, such as suggestions for feast day activities. Go to www.theologic.com and open their “Orthodox Family Life” page.

The Religious Education Department page of the Antiochian Orthodox Archdiocese (www.antiochian.org) includes their youth magazine, “Cross and Quill,” as well as project activities for church schools.
